Celebrity Halloween Decor Scales Back Amid UK Pumpkin Shortage
Stars like Molly-Mae Hague and Stacey Solomon opt for more subdued autumnal displays, a departure from previous years' elaborate decorations.
This year's celebrity Halloween decorations appear to be a departure from the typically extravagant displays, with several stars opting for more subdued autumnal themes. This shift comes amid reports of a pumpkin shortage in the UK, leading to a more restrained approach to seasonal decor.
While influencers like Molly-Mae Hague have incorporated autumnal accents into her Cheshire home, her displays are less elaborate than in previous years. Hague's decor includes a pumpkin snow globe, plush toys, a cinnamon candle, and a book of incantations on her coffee table. Ceramic ghost figurines adorn her mantelpiece, complemented by knitted pumpkins on a windowsill. A light-up resin statue featuring Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, a ghost, and Dracula holding a banner also features in her display.
Stacey Solomon, who recently moved with Joe Swash to a new home, has focused her Halloween efforts on decorating the staircase. Previously, Solomon was known for her elaborate decorations at their former home, Pickle Cottage. Her current display features maple leaf garlands, wreaths, lanterns, and carved pumpkins.
Gemma Collins has also embraced autumnal touches in her Chelmsford home, referring to it as 'Autumn at Casa GC.' Her decorations include garlands, fig leaf candles, and stacked resin jack-o'-lanterns. Collins expressed her enjoyment of interior design, stating, 'making a house a home is something I LOVE' and 'interiors are my thing.'
Sophie Hinchcliffe, known as 'Queen of Clean,' shared her home's autumn transformation, featuring a leaf wreath on her door, a scarecrow on a bale of hay, a 'Hello pumpkin' doormat, and baskets filled with autumn leaves.
In contrast to the more subdued displays, socialite Alice Naylor-Leyland hosted a Halloween party featuring a notable tablescape. Naylor-Leyland utilized stuffed owls, skulls, and pumpkins to create a spooky yet stylish table setting. Skeletons hung over the table, which was covered with an orange tablecloth. Guests at the event included Gucci executive Arabella Musgrave, who previously dated Prince William.
Luisa Zissman, who resides in Dubai, decorated a golf cart with spider webs and gravestones for Halloween. Her daughters were seen enjoying the decorations. Meanwhile, Petra Ecclestone, an F1 heiress, showcased a large animated scarecrow outside her Dubai mansion, complemented by gothic window decor, foliage, moss, and pumpkins.
