Carol Vorderman Celebrates BAFTA Win Alongside Son Cameron

Carol Vorderman attended the 2026 BAFTA Cymru Awards with her son, Cameron King, marking a rare red carpet appearance for the pair. The broadcaster, who was born in Bedford and raised in North Wales, received the Sian Phillips Award for Outstanding Contribution to Television at the ceremony held at the International Convention Centre in Wales.

Vorderman, 65, proudly posed with her 34-year-old son, Cameron, whom she shares with ex-husband Patrick King. Cameron, an animation and video effects specialist, supported his mother on the red carpet.

For the event, Vorderman wore a studded black gown with chain detailing at the waist and a thigh-high split, paired with towering black heels. Cameron complemented the occasion in a blue suit with a red tie.

This public appearance follows a January social media post where Vorderman shared a rare photo with both Cameron and her daughter, Katie, expressing her joy over their achievements. At the time, she wrote about her gratitude for a family that not only loves but also likes each other. She highlighted Katie's work with her company Bio Orbit, which was preparing for a significant rocket launch, and Cameron's continued success as an animation and video effects specialist.

Cameron also accompanied Vorderman on the red carpet at the 2025 Pride Of Britain Awards, an event she presents. Vorderman has previously spoken about Cameron's journey with severe dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD. She recalled noticing his learning differences early on and the challenges they presented in his education, expressing her deep pride in his perseverance and eventual attainment of a master's degree from Dundee University. Cameron himself has acknowledged his mother's crucial role in his success, stating he would not be where he is without her unwavering support.
