The trio's appearance together comes after speculation arose about the status of Peltz Beckham's friendship with Selena Gomez. Peltz Beckham and Gomez, along with Brooklyn, were previously known for their close bond, with Gomez humorously referring to them as a "throuple" on social media.
Their friendship appeared to cool in early 2023, with Peltz Beckham deleting photos of Gomez from Instagram and posting cryptic messages about friendships having "expiration dates." Insiders suggested that Gomez's shift towards a more private life with her husband, Benny Blanco, led to the distance, as her celebrity social life took a backseat.
The couple and Gomez first connected in October 2022 and maintained a close relationship through holidays and a January 2023 vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico. Peltz Beckham's and Hurley's matching outfits were noted to be similar to those worn by Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in 1999.
