Bonnie Wright Welcomes Second Son, Aster Sky

Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright has announced the birth of her second child, a son named Aster Sky Wright Lococo. Wright, 35, and her husband Andrew Lococo, 42, welcomed their son at home in California on September 28.

Wright shared the news on Instagram, revealing that their newborn has been welcomed by his older brother, Elio Ocean, who is three years old. "Our little star has been showered in love by his big brother Elio," Wright wrote, adding, "Thank you universe for my loving bundle of boys!"

The actress explained that their son's name, Aster, was chosen because it is inspired by the star-shaped flower of the same name. This naming convention follows the couple's preference for names from the natural world, as their eldest son is named Elio Ocean Wright Lococo.

Among those congratulating the couple were former Harry Potter co-stars Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, and Scarlett Hefner, who portrayed Pansy Parkinson.

Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films, had announced her pregnancy in April, sharing that their second child was expected in the autumn.

Wright and Lococo, a businessman, met at a New Year's Eve party in 2018 and married in March 2022. Since the conclusion of the Harry Potter film series in 2011, Wright has focused on filmmaking and environmental advocacy. She has directed, founded a production company, and published a sustainability guide. Following the birth of her first child, she launched "Hello Earthling," a project aimed at connecting families and children with nature.

Wright has previously spoken about the challenges and joys of motherhood, noting how it has influenced her perspective on her own upbringing and the fictional Weasley family, whom she cited as an example of unconditional love and resourcefulness in parenting. "Parenting is beautiful and brutal in equal measure," she reflected last year, describing the contrast between idealized notions of parenting and the everyday realities.
