Will Iger, son of former Disney CEO Bob Iger, will be the play-by-play announcer for the Coachella Valley Lakers for the 2026-27 season, the team announced Thursday.

Iger will be part of the team's broadcast alongside game analyst A.C. Green. The Coachella Valley Lakers, the G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers, are set to begin their season Friday against the Salt Lake City Stars at Acrisure Arena.

This marks a return to play-by-play announcing for Will Iger, who called games for the Austin Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs’ G League affiliate, during the 2025-26 season. He previously worked as a sports commentator on the Mavericks’ weekly studio show, “The Bounce.” His experience also includes play-by-play announcing for San Antonio FC, the Indoor Football League, and collegiate athletics at Columbia University and Hofstra University.

The elder Bob Iger is part of a group led by venture capitalist Josh Kushner that is purchasing a majority ownership of the Lakers from Mark Walter for a valuation of $12.5 billion. The sale agreement details were finalized last week and await approval from the NBA’s Board of Governors.
