Ariana Biermann and Charlie Zakkour are currently keeping their distance from each other following a hookup that occurred while filming the Bravo series "Next Gen NYC." Shai Fruchter, a co-star on the show, shared details about their relationship status in an exclusive interview with Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea."
Fruchter, 25, explained that a significant amount has transpired both during the rest of the season's filming and in the time since. "So much has happened that, one, it’s hard to keep track of, and two, it’s just so many mixed emotions coming in at once that when it’s that overwhelming, and [there’s] that much confusion, you kind of have to keep it a little cordial and separate for a bit," he told hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real.
An insider had previously confirmed to Page Six that Biermann, 24, and Zakkour, 31, "hooked up" during the filming of "Next Gen NYC" Season 2, with the situation slated to unfold in the latter half of the season.
Zakkour initially expressed interest in Biermann during the debut season of "Next Gen NYC" when she was still dating Hudson McLeroy. Biermann and McLeroy, 24, had an on-again, off-again relationship for nearly a decade before their split in October 2025. While they briefly reconciled earlier this year, Biermann recently confirmed their subsequent breakup.
During BravoCon 2025, Biermann had stated she wouldn't go near Zakkour, referring to him with strong disapproval. However, by the end of the weekend, she was seen seated next to him on a plane.
Following her breakup with McLeroy, Biermann was also pursued by newcomer Liam Obergfoll, who took her on multiple dates and introduced her to his family while filming the second season. Obergfoll recently shared that he and Biermann are keeping their interactions "casual."
"Next Gen NYC" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock.
