Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, has begun her acting career with a role in the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures romantic comedy "Paris Paramount." The 22-year-old was photographed on set in Los Angeles alongside co-star Owen Wilson, marking her feature film debut.
Martin is portraying a mystery role in the film, directed by Nancy Meyers. The movie is reportedly a $100+ million-budget production and is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2027. Wilson, 57, and Martin were seen filming an outdoor scene that is part of a story within the film, focusing on former industry partners who reunite while making a movie together.
This project connects Martin to Wilson through her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, who previously starred with Wilson in Wes Anderson's 2001 film "The Royal Tenenbaums." Paltrow played Margot Tenenbaum, while Wilson portrayed Eli Cash. "The Royal Tenenbaums" also featured Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson's brother, whom Paltrow dated for a period. Martin's grandmother, Blythe Danner, is also an established actress, known for her roles in the "Meet the Parents" franchise, making Martin a third-generation performer.
For her on-set appearance, Martin wore a peach-colored cardigan and wide-leg blue jeans, with minimal makeup and her hair in a ponytail. She has also been seen filming scenes with actors Rich Sommer, known for his role in "Mad Men," Erin Doherty, who played Princess Anne in "The Crown," and Tony Hale, recognized for his work in "Arrested Development" and "Veep."
Nancy Meyers, the director of "Paris Paramount," has a notable filmography including "The Parent Trap," "What Women Want," "Something's Gotta Give," "The Holiday," "It's Complicated," and "The Intern." Production for the film began on May 17 and is expected to conclude by September 17. Meyers recently shared on Instagram her gratitude for the crew and the experience of shooting at Warner Bros. studios.
Other cast members announced for "Paris Paramount" include Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, and Beverly D'Angelo. Cruz recently spoke about her role on the web series "Hot Ones," describing her character as an actress, which involves playing a character within a character. She expressed her long-standing admiration for Meyers' work.
