Anne Hathaway credits Rihanna as a major inspiration for her maternity style as she navigates her third pregnancy. The actress, who announced in June that she is expecting, has embraced her growing baby bump throughout her promotional duties.
Hathaway shared on CBS Mornings that Rihanna "changed the game" with her fashion choices during her own pregnancies. "When I saw her, what she was doing with her maternity style, I just realized that I just needed to use my imagination and go out there and have more fun," Hathaway told host Gayle King.
Rihanna, known for her bold maternity looks including sheer dresses and form-fitting outfits, previously told Vogue that she refused to shop in maternity aisles, preferring to continue dressing up as her body changed. Hathaway noted that Rihanna's approach gave her the confidence to be more creative with her own wardrobe choices.
During her press tours, Hathaway has showcased a variety of stylish outfits designed to highlight her pregnancy. Among her recent looks are a denim ensemble with a cropped cape, a bright red jumpsuit, a cerulean gown from Dior, and a form-fitting gown with a mermaid hem from Prabal Gurung. She confirmed in the interview that she is "weeks away" from giving birth to her third child.
