Amol Rajan Eliminated First from Celebrity Traitors
The former 'Today' programme host was murdered by fellow Traitors Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama, while James Acaster was recruited.

Former 'Today' programme host Amol Rajan has become the first contestant to be eliminated from the latest series of Celebrity Traitors. Rajan was 'murdered' by fellow Traitors Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama, who then recruited podcaster James Acaster to their ranks.
Rajan admitted he was 'grieving' his early exit from the show, describing the experience as 'unforgettable' but lamenting 'what might have been.' He expressed that while he was 'gutted to be the first out,' James Acaster is a 'fantastic player' who is less likely to be suspected by the other contestants.
The second series launch episode, which aired on Thursday, drew a record-breaking 9 million viewers, surpassing previous premieres for The Traitors UK. Overnight figures showed the episode peaked at just over 9 million viewers, with an average of 8.9 million, an increase from both the first celebrity series and the most recent civilian series.
Richard E. Grant, who was chosen as a Traitor by host Claudia Winkleman, made an early slip-up by confessing his role to fellow contestant Joe Lycett. This confession has put Grant under scrutiny, with Acaster now working with him and Jama to deflect suspicion from the 'Faithfuls.'
The celebrities are competing in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands for a charity cash prize of up to £100,000.
