Alexander Skarsgård Dons "Lick My Worm" Tee at "Wicker" Screening

Alexander Skarsgård drew attention at a special screening of the film "Wicker" in New York City on Tuesday, arriving in a custom white T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "Lick My Worm." The cheeky garment, designed by artist Flora Miles, references a line spoken by Olivia Colman's character in the film. Skarsgård, 50, made sure the shirt was visible beneath his suit jacket, quipping, "Make sure they see the worm," as he posed with castmates.
The phrase originates from the film, where Colman plays a village outcast who commissions a husband woven from wicker. Skarsgård portrays this "Wicker Husband." His father, actor Stellan Skarsgård, was in attendance at the screening held at AMC Lincoln Square 13, along with co-star Olivia Colman and directors Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston Fischer.
This is not the first time Skarsgård has made a fashion statement during the "Wicker" promotional tour. He previously wore a vintage "I'm With Stupid" tee and a JW Anderson sweater adorned with knitted flowers and moss. At the film's London premiere, he opted for a daring look, wearing a gold Saint Laurent suit without a shirt and pairing it with transparent shoes. Earlier in the year, he sported Saint Laurent's thigh-high boots at the Cannes Film Festival and embraced a bold style featuring leather, short shorts, and sequins during his "Pillion" press tour.
Skarsgård's castmates have also commented on his on-screen character's appearance. Colman described him as "easy on the eye anyway," adding that when put in the "basket outfit," he was "even maybe a little bit sexier." Elizabeth Debicki agreed, with Colman concluding, "He is a hot basket."
"Wicker" is scheduled to open in select theaters on October 23 before a nationwide release on October 30.
