Aimee Lou Wood and Johnny Flynn Premiere "The Idiots" in London

Actress Aimee Lou Wood and co-star Johnny Flynn attended the premiere of their new film, "The Idiots," at the BFI's London Film Festival on Wednesday. Wood, 32, wore a two-tone De La Vali cami dress featuring butter yellow lace and pale grey chiffon. She styled her recently debuted bob loosely and complemented her outfit with a pink makeup palette and a simple chain necklace.

Flynn, 43, appeared dapper in a relaxed black suit, a white shirt, and loafers. "The Idiots" is a historical drama centered on Anna Dostoevskaya, played by Wood, and her husband, the celebrated novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky, portrayed by Flynn. The film, directed by Małgorzata Szumowska, chronicles the couple's travels across Europe as their life becomes increasingly strained by Dostoevsky's gambling, financial debts, and literary ambitions.

The film has also been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival. Wood and Flynn have been recognized for their on-screen chemistry and commitment to the characters' eccentricities.

Wood recently appeared in Stockport filming the final series of "Daddy Issues," where she portrays Gemma. The comedy series follows Gemma's life after an unexpected pregnancy and her efforts to support her father, Malcolm, after his marriage ends. In the upcoming season, after welcoming her daughter Sadie, Gemma navigates nursery arrangements and a salon promotion, only for a new romantic entanglement to create further complications. Wood was seen filming scenes with co-star Taj Atwal, who plays Cherry.

Separately, fans have suggested Wood for a future role in the television series "Doctor Who." This speculation arose after her appearance in a "Saturday Night Live UK" sketch parodying the science fiction show. Viewers praised Wood's comedic talent and hosting debut, with many expressing on social media their belief that she would be a fitting choice for the Doctor or a companion in the actual series.
