Aerosmith Announces Two Star-Studded Hollywood Bowl Shows

Aerosmith has announced two upcoming concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, billed as "California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends." The shows are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 1.

Joining the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will be a lineup of notable artists, including Guns N' Roses, Run-DMC, Billy Idol, Eric Church, and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. Other announced guests include Heart, The Black Crowes, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains, and Sammy Hagar. In total, 19 acts are slated to perform across the two-day event.

These performances mark a return to the stage for Aerosmith, following the cancellation of much of their planned 2023-2024 farewell tour due to a vocal injury sustained by frontman Steven Tyler. While the band's setlist for these dates has not been fully revealed, typical performances in 2023 included around 18-20 songs, featuring fan favorites such as "Dream On," "Walk This Way," "Cryin'," "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," and "Sweet Emotion."

A review of a September 2023 concert in Pittsburgh noted the band's enduring energy, with one critic observing, "[Steven’s] gyrations haven’t changed in decades. There was no drop-off in energy… This Aerosmith was frankly better." The band's reported setlist from that Pittsburgh show included "Back in the Saddle," "Same Old Song and Dance," "Livin’ on the Edge," "Rag Doll," "Janie’s Got a Gun," and "Toys in the Attic," among others.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Saturday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Fans can also access tickets through secondary market sites such as Vivid Seats.
