A Florida father of four died after his vehicle became trapped in flash floodwaters in Brevard County, his wife confirmed. Joshua Bennett, 34, of Palm Bay, was on his way to buy coffee when he encountered the rising floodwaters on San Filippo Drive.

His wife, Stacy Petit Bennett, recounted a desperate FaceTime call from her husband as his truck became submerged. "He called me on FaceTime, and he was just crying, like, 'I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do,'" she told WESH 2 News, as reported by Fox News.

Bennett told his wife he was in the middle of a river and that water was surrounding his vehicle. She urged him to break a window before the call abruptly ended. She then contacted 911 and spent hours attempting to get help for her husband.

Bennett was described by his wife as an "amazing husband and dad." She noted that he was the sole support for their four children, including three with special needs, and that their children have been asking for him.

Bennett was one of two people who died in the flooding in Brevard County. The other victim, 78-year-old Archie Richards, was found deceased inside his vehicle near Richards Lane and Hall Road, according to WESH 2 News.

This incident follows other fatal flooding events in recent months, including a flash flood that swept through a Utah canyoneering area, killing a family of five, and a incident in Nicaragua where a pickup truck carrying travelers was swept away by strong currents, resulting in three deaths.
