Amur tiger Ginger Biscuit has settled well into her new home at Woburn Safari Park, exploring her surroundings and observing the park's other tigers from a distance, according to her keepers.

The two-year-old female recently moved from Longleat Safari Park to Woburn. Ben Davies, head of carnivores at Woburn, stated that Ginger Biscuit is confident and adapting well to her new environment. "She's settling in well, she's getting used to her new surroundings, exploring the trees and the bushes and observing the other two tigers from a distance," Davies said. "She's confident and so far, so good."

This move is a significant component of the European Endangered Species Programme (EEP), an initiative that coordinates breeding efforts for endangered species across wildlife parks. The park highlighted that Ginger Biscuit's arrival underscores the crucial role modern safari parks play in the conservation of species facing significant pressure in the wild.

"Our team will be focused on helping her settle in and ensuring she continues to thrive," Davies added.
