Watches of Switzerland CEO Receives Significant Pay Raise Amidst Record Year
Brian Duffy's compensation nearly doubled to £1.3 million, primarily driven by a substantial bonus following strong sales, particularly from wealthy U.S. customers.
Brian Duffy, the chief executive of Watches of Switzerland, saw his annual compensation increase by 85.9 percent to £1.3 million, a rise from £710,271 in the previous year. This significant increase was largely attributed to a £750,000 bonus, which was more than four times the bonus awarded in 2025. His base salary of £500,000 has remained unchanged since he assumed the role in 2015. Duffy also received £73,793 in taxable benefits, including a company car and accommodation.
The company achieved a record profit of £154.8 million in the 12 months leading up to May, surpassing its target of £147 million. This performance was bolstered by increased spending from affluent American shoppers on luxury watch brands such as Rolex and Omega. Watches of Switzerland identified the U.S. market as underdeveloped with substantial growth potential, noting it as their largest market in terms of both sales and profit.
While sales also improved in the United Kingdom, Duffy acknowledged a "more subdued consumer environment" in the domestic market. The surge in demand from U.S. consumers has been a key factor in the company's record-breaking financial year.
