Victoria Beckham's Fashion Business Reports £1.7M Loss Despite Netflix Boost

Victoria Beckham's fashion business has reported a £1.7 million loss after tax for the year ending December 2025, despite a notable sales boost attributed to her Netflix documentary. The accounts, filed at Companies House, reveal that while the overall Victoria Beckham Holdings, which includes beauty and fragrance, achieved an after-tax profit of £2.4 million, the fashion segment alone faced financial difficulties.

The hit Netflix series, which premiered last October, featured Beckham prominently wearing items from her fashion line, including a grey 'Tilly' T-shirt and 'Alina' jeans. This exposure generated a significant increase in unit sales for denim and jersey, with respective boosts of 48% and 35%. The fashion business itself did report an operating profit of £1.5 million.

However, after accounting for taxes and other costs, the fashion business ultimately recorded a £1.7 million loss. Furthermore, a new loan of £1.5 million was issued to the fashion business. The cost of sales for the fashion segment remained high at £17.5 million, an increase from the previous year, and the brand has outstanding debts of £59 million to creditors.

Victoria Beckham herself acknowledged the business's past struggles in the documentary, recalling moments of deep embarrassment and financial distress. She described the journey as "a hell of a journey" and spoke of being "tens of millions in the red" at one point. She also detailed the emotional toll of relying on her husband, David Beckham, for financial support, which she found difficult due to her own pride and his investment in the venture.

"I absolutely hated it," she stated, referring to having to ask her business partner for more money. David Beckham echoed these sentiments, describing conversations about their investments as "heartbreaking" and noting his inability to continue funding the business indefinitely.

Launched in 2008, the fashion brand has experienced several financial challenges, including repeated bailouts from David Beckham. Victoria Beckham sought external investment to save the business, eventually securing a £30 million investment in 2017 from David Belhassen's Neo Investments.

In addition to the Netflix series, the brand has pursued other initiatives to drive growth. This included a pop-up shop at Bal Harbour Shops in the US from May to October and plans for a new store in New York City in September, intended to house fashion, beauty, and fragrance lines. The brand also launched a collaborative partnership with Gap in April, reinterpreting classic styles.
