Victoria Beckham Invests Millions in Daughter Harper's Skincare Venture
Teenager Harper Seven Beckham pitched her beauty brand idea to her mother using a PowerPoint presentation, leading to a significant investment in the new line.
Victoria Beckham has revealed that her 15-year-old daughter, Harper, conceived the idea for her own skincare brand, Harlo by Harper, presenting it to her mother through a PowerPoint presentation. This initiative has led Beckham to invest over £2 million into launching the teen's range, which is slated for release in the latter half of next year, after Harper completes her GCSE exams.
Harper, who turns 16 in July, has harbored entrepreneurial ambitions from a young age. Victoria Beckham shared in a recent interview that her daughter has frequently joined her during product meetings since the launch of Victoria Beckham's own makeup brand in 2019. Harper's initial proposals included not only the beauty brand concept but also a request for a perm, with Beckham approving the former while deferring the latter until Harper is older.
According to sources, Harlo by Harper will operate as a distinct and independent entity from Victoria Beckham Beauty. The company, H7B, which is named after Harper Seven Beckham, was established in October 2024 when she was 13. Financial documents from October to December of the previous year show the company owes creditors approximately $3,387,000, with these obligations due within a year. The company's stated activities include 'brand creation,' and amounts owed by group undertakings exceed $2.8 million, suggesting substantial borrowing.
Victoria Beckham's own fashion and beauty businesses are consolidated under Victoria Beckham Holdings. For the year ending December 2025, the holding company reported an operating profit of £7.3 million, a notable improvement from a £1.5 million loss the prior year. The fashion segment alone posted an operating profit of £1.5 million, though after tax, it incurred a loss of £1.7 million. The fashion business also received a new loan of £1.5 million and owes £59 million to creditors. Including the makeup and beauty brand, Victoria Beckham Holdings achieved an after-tax profit of £2.4 million.
The initial public indication of Harper's business aspirations came in October 2024 when Victoria Beckham launched a new perfume. Harper, then 13, wrote on a piece of paper under the scent's name, 'my reverie,' a hope 'to create an amazing brand when I am older.' Victoria shared this note on Instagram. Attempts to trademark the name 'Haiku by Harper' were unsuccessful, leading to the adoption of 'Harlo.'
It is understood that Harper is working with her mother's team of experts to develop a product line that will likely include a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and possibly lip balms. Earlier this year, Harper accompanied her mother on a business trip to New York, attending events related to a Gap collaboration and a perfume launch. Victoria Beckham has stated that Harper's interest in creating her own brand stems from her own experiences with acne and unsuitable skincare products, leading her to seek dermatological help. Harper's stated mission for her brand is to prevent others from facing similar skin issues.
Reports suggest ambitions for Harper's brand to rival Hailey Bieber's Rhode Beauty. The family's collective net worth is reportedly over $1 billion (£757 million).
