The average price of diesel in the United Kingdom has exceeded £2 per liter for the first time, according to the RAC motoring group. This milestone marks a significant increase, with petrol prices also reaching an average of 174.71 pence per liter.
The RAC stated that price rises are "showing no signs of slowing, heaping more misery onto motorists." The surge in fuel costs continues to impact drivers across the country.
In an effort to mitigate further price hikes, the G7 nations agreed on Friday to release 100 million barrels of oil. This action is intended to help stabilize global oil prices and prevent additional increases at the pump.
