U.S. Factory Activity Grows for 14th Consecutive Month in June

U.S. factory activity continued its expansion in June, marking the 14th consecutive month of growth. The Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) purchasing managers' index registered at 53.3 in June, a slight decrease of 0.7 percentage points from the 54.0 reported in May. This figure remains above the threshold of 50, which generally indicates an expansion in manufacturing activity.

The ISM Manufacturing PMI has been a key indicator of the health of the U.S. manufacturing sector, reflecting trends in production, new orders, employment, supplier deliveries, and inventories. While the overall index saw a marginal dip, the sustained expansion suggests ongoing resilience in the sector despite various economic pressures.
