Trader Joe's is set to open three new stores in California as part of a nationwide expansion, the company announced. The new locations will be in Clairemont-San Diego, Leucadia in Encinitas, and Riverbank, a community near Modesto.
The exact opening dates for these California stores have not yet been specified. A "Coming Soon!" message on the company's website indicates that the "Crew is working hard so we can open our doors." The notice further states, "We’ll continue to post new details about the store and its opening here, so please check back for updates. We look forward to seeing you!"
According to a company spokesperson, details about new store openings typically appear on the Trader Joe's website three to six months prior to their debut. This expansion follows recent announcements of over two dozen new Trader Joe's stores opening across the United States, including a recently opened location in Paso Robles, California.
Other U.S. locations with upcoming or recent openings include Anaheim Hills, California; Tucson, Arizona; Herriman, Utah; and Seattle, Washington. Trader Joe's, founded in California in 1967, currently operates in 42 states and the District of Columbia. States that do not yet have a Trader Joe's location are Wyoming, West Virginia, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
