Telenor ASA, a Norwegian telecommunications company, has agreed to acquire a majority stake in the Swedish broadband provider Bahnhof AB. The deal is valued at approximately $629 million.
The acquisition includes Telenor purchasing the 50.8% stake currently held by Bahnhof's founders, as well as an additional 6.7% stake owned by Oresund Investment.
Bahnhof is a Swedish internet service provider known for its focus on fiber optic networks. The company was founded in 1994 and operates primarily within Sweden.
