T&T Supermarket, a prominent Asian grocery chain, is set to open its first Orange County location within Irvine's expansive Great Park project in late 2026. The 34,000-square-foot store will be a key anchor tenant at The Canopy, a new 90,000-square-foot retail and dining hub under construction. This marks the second California location for the Canadian-based company, which recently launched its first Golden State store in San Jose.

The Irvine outpost will offer a wide selection of fresh produce, seafood, Asian beauty products, and specialty ingredients representing various Southeast Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. T&T Supermarkets are particularly noted for their prepared food sections, featuring items like Peking duck and barbecue, alongside extensive bakery counters offering over 150 types of bread, pastries, and desserts such as Portuguese egg tarts and mango pomelo Swiss rolls.

The Canopy at Great Park is designed as an "all-day destination" and is part of a larger $1 billion undertaking to transform the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro into a significant urban park. Other retailers expected to open at The Canopy include In-N-Out Burger, Philz Coffee, The Taco Stand, H&H Bagels, and SHOOTZ. The retail center is scheduled to begin opening in phases later this year, with a broader rollout planned for 2027.

When completed in 2029, the Great Park is projected to span approximately 1,300 acres, surpassing New York City's Central Park in size. The master plan for the park includes features such as lakes with waterfalls, museums, a botanical garden, sports facilities, and a 10,000-seat amphitheater. City officials anticipate the park could attract more than 7.5 million visitors annually.
