SL Green's 1185 Sixth Avenue Reaches 92% Occupancy After Two New Leases

SL Green Realty Corp. has signed two new leases totaling nearly 57,000 square feet at its 1185 Sixth Avenue tower, pushing the 1.1 million-square-foot building to approximately 92% occupancy.

The leases include a renewal and expansion of 29,166 square feet for the insurance firm Ryan Specialty LLC and a new 27,508-square-foot lease with property management firm Solil Management LLC. Both companies will be part of the building's tenant roster located between West 46th and 47th streets.

SL Green leasing director Steven Durels expressed satisfaction with the agreements, stating, "We’re delighted to have both of these highly regarded firms as part of the building’s premier tenant roster."

This leasing activity follows recent improvements to the highrise, including upgrades to the lobby, elevators, and corridors. Additionally, luxury body-care company Moroccanoil recently signed a 37,000-square-foot lease, relocating from 135 E. 57th St., which is being converted to residential apartments.

Other notable tenants at 1185 Sixth Avenue include Syska Hennessey, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, and Hartree Partners.
