Rogers Communications is acquiring the final 25% stake in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) from Larry Tanenbaum's Kilmer Sports for approximately 4.35 billion Canadian dollars. This acquisition will give Rogers full control over the sports and entertainment company.
MLSE is a major entity in the sports world, owning a portfolio of professional sports teams including the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL), Toronto Raptors (NBA), Toronto FC (MLS), and the Toronto Argonauts (CFL). The company also operates Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
