Roger Federer Falls Below Billion-Dollar Net Worth Amid On Stock Slump

Tennis legend Roger Federer has seen his net worth fall below $1 billion following a significant drop in the share price of the athletic shoe company On, in which he holds a minority stake.

On Tuesday, Federer's net worth stood at approximately $952.4 million, according to Forbes, marking a decrease of at least $52 million. This decline occurred as On's share price fell by about 19% due to softer-than-expected sales numbers.

Federer, 45, had previously reached billionaire status in 2025, largely propelled by his investments and endorsement deals. His wealth accumulated significantly during his 24-year tennis career, during which he earned around $131 million in prize money. However, his earnings were substantially boosted by lucrative sponsorship agreements.

Among his notable endorsement deals is a 10-year, $300 million apparel contract with Uniqlo, which began in 2018, ending a long-standing partnership with Nike. He has also held endorsements with brands such as Rolex, Mercedes-Benz, Gillette, and Lindt.

Federer became a co-owner of On Holding in 2019 and has also served as a casual fashion consultant for the Swiss company. His investment, which includes approximately 296 million class A shares and 341 million class B shares, was a key factor in his entry into billionaire status. The company's successful product line, including the popular "The Roger" shoe, has been credited with contributing to its growth.

Despite the recent financial setback, Federer remains close to his former billionaire status. On Holding has described Federer as a "close partner to our founders."
