Range Rover Sport Electric SUV Launched, Priced From £109,810
The new all-electric Range Rover Sport offers enhanced performance and advanced chassis technologies, with a claimed WLTP range of 374 miles.
The all-electric Range Rover Sport has been revealed and is now available for purchase, with prices starting at £109,810. This new model aims to transition the luxury SUV marque away from its traditional image, offering an emissions-free driving experience.
Developed concurrently with its internal combustion engine counterparts, the Range Rover Sport Electric boasts the stiffest body structure and lowest center of gravity of any model in the Range Rover Sport line-up. It delivers 542 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Range Rover Sport to date. This powertrain allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 124 mph.
Range Rover highlights advanced chassis technologies designed to enhance its dynamic capabilities. These include a uniquely tuned Intelligent Traction Management system, virtual all-wheel drive, Dynamic Air Suspension, and electronic Active Roll Control (eARC). The vehicle also features All-Wheel Steering. Despite its off-road heritage, Range Rover states the vehicle is engineered for an engaging drive, with capabilities such as a 900mm wading depth and a 45-degree climbing angle.
The electric powertrain consists of an 118.5kWh lithium-ion battery and two 260kW electric motors integrated into Range Rover's MLA-Flex architecture. The vehicle employs ThermAssist heat management technology to optimize range. Range Rover estimates a real-world range of 333 miles, based on a claimed WLTP range of 374 miles. The 800V electrical architecture enables rapid charging, with the ability to add 136 miles of range in just 10 minutes, or charge from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes.
Customers can choose from three specifications: Dynamic SE, Autobiography, and First Edition. The Dynamic SE is priced at £109,810, the Autobiography model costs £122,780, and the First Edition is available for £126,290. Optional packages include the Black Pack and Satin Wrap. The First Edition comes in Zadar Grey with a Satin Wrap, a black contrast roof, and 22-inch alloy wheels. Autobiography clients also have access to the Range Rover Bespoke commissioning service for extensive personalization options.
The Range Rover Sport Electric will be manufactured in Solihull, UK, on the same production lines as its hybrid, petrol, and diesel counterparts. The vehicle is offered with an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty.
