Organic Moringa Supplements Recalled Nationwide Due to Salmonella Risk

New York-based Total Nutrition Inc. has initiated a nationwide recall of two of its TNVitamins organic moringa products due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall was prompted after the company's supplier recalled the raw organic moringa ingredient because of possible contamination.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, according to the company. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with the bacteria may experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In severe cases, the infection can spread to the bloodstream and lead to more serious health issues.

The affected products are TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules, identified by Product No. AB9917 and Lot 2800 with an expiration date of February 2028, and TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder, identified by Product No. AB9904 and Lot 2782 with an expiration date of May 2028.

These supplements were distributed across the United States through major online retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and TikTok Shop, as well as directly from the company's website.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are advised not to consume them and to dispose of them immediately. Products with lot numbers different from those specified in the recall are not affected.

The moringa capsules are packaged in white bottles containing 90 clear capsules, each filled with green organic moringa powder. The moringa powder is sold in a white HDPE jar containing 96 grams of the green powder.

For further information or to address concerns, customers can visit the TNVitamins recall page or contact the company via email.
