Nordstrom Rack Expands Physical Footprint with 24 New Stores
The off-price retailer is adding new locations across the U.S. through November, signaling a continued investment in brick-and-mortar retail.
Nordstrom Rack is set to open 24 new stores across the United States, with openings scheduled from August 20 through November 5. Four of these locations have already opened this year, with the remainder slated to debut by early November.
The expansion indicates a continued commitment to physical retail spaces, with shoppers valuing the ability to try on items before purchasing. This move follows a strategic shift for the brand, which saw significant losses in 2020 following the rise of digital commerce and increased competition.
In recent years, Nordstrom Rack has undergone restructuring and store enhancements. The off-price chain, known for offering clothing, shoes, accessories, and home decor at discounts up to 70% off, opened 38 new stores in the previous year.
