New Costco Members Can Get Digital Gift Cards With Membership Sign-Up

Costco is offering a promotional incentive for new members to join its Gold Star or Executive tiers. New members who sign up for a Gold Star membership at $65 annually and enroll in auto renewal will receive a $20 Digital Costco Shop Card. Those opting for the Executive membership, which includes an additional $65 upgrade fee, can receive a $40 Digital Costco Shop Card under the same conditions.

To qualify for the promotion, individuals must be new members or have had their memberships, including any affiliate cards, expire for at least 18 months. The offer is not applicable for upgrading or renewing existing memberships. Existing Costco employees are also excluded from this promotion.

After completing the sign-up process and enrolling in auto renewal, new members will receive an activation email. They must follow the instructions to register their membership online before their first store visit. The Digital Costco Shop Card is expected to be delivered via email within two weeks of successful sign-up and enrollment in auto renewal.

Each Costco membership includes one Affiliate Card for another individual aged 18 or older residing at the same address. This allows two people within the same household to each possess a membership card.

Costco memberships provide access to various benefits, including member pricing at Costco Gas Stations and a range of Kirkland Signature products. Additional perks include access to Costco Travel, extended warranties on electronics and appliances, and services at Costco Pharmacy, Optical, and Hearing Aid Centers. Discounts are also available through partnerships with AT&T and T-Mobile. Purchases of tires through Costco offer additional value, and the Costco Direct Delivery service handles select bundled items for home delivery.

Executive members gain access to early shopping hours and additional rewards beyond the standard benefits. The Digital Costco Shop Card cannot be redeemed for cash, unless required by law, and is not accepted at U.S. or Canada Food Court locations. Costco is not responsible for unauthorized use of the card. A single-use promo code must be used when entering payment information during sign-up. A Gold Star Membership costs $65 annually, with the Executive Membership an additional $65 upgrade. Costco accepts Visa, cash, checks, debit/ATM cards, EBT, and Costco Shop Cards.
