Messi and Beckham Launch Global Network of Exclusive Members' Clubs
The soccer superstars are partnering to create high-end clubs in major sporting event locations.
Global soccer icons Lionel Messi and David Beckham are joining forces to launch a chain of exclusive members' clubs worldwide. The venture, reportedly inspired by networks like Soho House, will feature state-of-the-art gyms and will be strategically located in cities that host major sporting events.
One of the initial locations for these high-end establishments is expected to be Singapore, known for hosting the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The clubs' aesthetic is described as futuristic, post-modern, and sculptural, a departure from Beckham's more rustic style.
This collaboration marks a continuation of the relationship between the two athletes. In 2023, Beckham, who co-owns Major League Soccer team Inter Miami, signed Messi for the club. Reports indicate that Beckham's contract with Messi includes an offer for the Argentinian player to acquire a stake in Inter Miami after his playing career concludes, establishing a long-term business connection.
Both Beckham and Messi are figures of considerable financial standing. The Sunday Times Rich List estimates the combined wealth of David and Victoria Beckham at £1.185 billion, while Messi's personal wealth is reportedly around £800 million. This business venture adds another dimension to their already significant global influence beyond the football pitch.
