Meg Ryan Sells Hamptons Estate for Reported $15.3 Million

Actress Meg Ryan has found a buyer for her Hamptons mansion, listing the property for $15.25 million and now seeing it marked as "pending" sale. The 1.5-acre estate in Bridgehampton, NY, was recently purchased by Ryan for $13.5 million, indicating a potential profit on the quick sale.

Ryan, known for her roles in romantic comedies and her interest in home renovations, previously sold a Montecito, California, property for $16.8 million. The Hamptons listing was handled by Evan R. Kulman of Compass, with Paul Brennan and Martha Gundersen of Douglas Elliman representing the buyer.

The Bridgehampton residence, built in 2016, spans nearly 5,000 square feet and features five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The home includes vaulted ceilings, five fireplaces, a sunken living room, a formal dining room, and a chef's kitchen. Custom touches include a library with its own bathroom. The lower level contains a guest suite, kitchenette, secondary living area, and a gym. The primary suite offers a sitting area, steam shower, and a balcony. The property also includes a geothermal heating and cooling system.

A bright, airy room with a large wooden table, white built-in bookshelves, a fireplace with a mounted TV, and French doors leading to a garden.

Outdoor amenities include a heated Gunite swimming pool and a covered porch with an outdoor fireplace. The property is secured by a full-property security system and is situated down a long gated driveway, offering significant privacy. The listing described the property as having "sophisticated luxury living in one of the Hamptons’ most coveted locations," near ocean beaches and local restaurants.

Ryan, who has expressed a passion for renovation projects, has been active in real estate. She purchased the Montecito property for $9.5 million in 2021 and later listed it for $19.5 million after significant renovations, ultimately selling it for $16.8 million. Ryan has described her renovation process as a way to exert control and bring her personal vision to life, a contrast to the often less controlled nature of acting.
