McDonald's Introduces New Breakfast Sandwiches Featuring Honey Brown Butter Sauce

McDonald's is expanding its breakfast offerings with two new sandwiches that incorporate a honey brown butter sauce. The Honey Brown Butter Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit and the Honey Brown Butter Chicken Biscuit are set to officially launch nationwide on July 21, though some locations are already making them available.

The new biscuits feature a folded egg, bacon, and American cheese for the former, and a crispy chicken patty for the latter. The defining element of these new items is the honey brown butter sauce, described as having a caramelized color and a rich, nutty taste, a culinary technique known in French as beurre noisette.

This sauce is also available as an add-on for an additional charge to any other breakfast item on the menu. The inclusion of brown butter aligns with a broader trend in the fast-food industry, which has seen other chains integrating more sophisticated ingredients into their offerings.
