Matty Healy Marries Model Gabbriette Bechtel in Los Angeles Ceremony

Matty Healy, the 37-year-old musician, married his model girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel in a ceremony on Saturday at Castillo del Lago in Los Angeles. The venue was previously owned by Madonna. A-list guests, including Charli XCX, members of The 1975, Emily Ratajkowski, and Alex Consani, were in attendance.
A source told the Daily Mail that the couple exchanged vows under the Hollywood sign as the sun set. Bechtel wore a white dress with long sleeves, a fitted bodice, a drop-waist skirt with a long train, and a sheer veil. Healy wore a black suit with a white dress shirt and black bowtie, accessorized with a white flower on his lapel. The couple shared a kiss after exchanging vows.
Following the ceremony, Healy performed a set with his band, The 1975, for the guests. The reception also took place at the estate. The rehearsal dinner was held on Friday at Rainbow Bar and Grill in West Hollywood.
Sources close to the couple described them as "absolutely in love" and stated they "work really well together." One insider noted that Bechtel is "the whole package" and that Healy found the "right person" who made him want to settle down. The couple may reside in Los Angeles due to Bechtel's family ties to Southern California.
Healy and Bechtel announced their engagement in 2024 after a nine-month relationship. They were first linked in September 2023, shortly after Healy's split from Taylor Swift. Healy's parents, Denise Welch and Tim Healy, reportedly traveled to the U.S. for last-minute wedding preparations.
Healy's bachelor party included watching England's World Cup victory over Norway and a gathering with his bandmates. Bechtel celebrated her bachelorette party in Las Vegas, where she wore bridal-inspired outfits and posed with "Mrs Healy" balloons.
The couple reportedly spent over $134,000 on flights for close friends and family to attend the wedding. Healy proposed to Bechtel with a custom-made black diamond ring. His mother expressed her happiness with Bechtel as her daughter-in-law, stating "We couldn't be happier."
