Malibu Mansion Featured in 'Austin Powers,' 'The O.C.' Lists for $90 Million
The Venezia Pacifica estate, known for its cinematic appearances and Italian Renaissance-inspired architecture, offers ocean frontage and extensive amenities.
A sprawling Malibu mansion, recognized for its appearances in films like "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" and the television series "The O.C.," has been listed for sale at $90 million.
The property, named Venezia Pacifica, is situated in Malibu's Point Dume neighborhood and features 176 feet of ocean frontage with views of the Pacific Ocean. Designed by architect Jonathan Stout, the estate encompasses approximately 17,700 square feet on over 1.16 acres.
Built in the early 1990s by the late real estate developer Ken Harges, the mansion draws inspiration from Italian Renaissance architecture, reflecting the heritage of Harges' wife, Lorelei. Features include elegant archways, columns, coffered ceilings, stone flooring, and grand fireplaces.
Notable interior amenities include a 9,500-square-foot underground garage with space for 20 cars, a double-height ballroom with a barrel-vaulted glass ceiling, and a wrought-iron and glass elevator. The home also contains a formal dining room, library, chef's kitchen with dual islands, a home cinema, multiple wet bars, and a wood-paneled office.
The exterior boasts expansive terraces overlooking the ocean, landscaped grounds, an oceanfront pavilion, and a resort-style swimming pool and spa. The property includes private access to a beach and a key to Riviera III, one of three exclusive gated beach easements in Point Dume.
Beyond its architectural elements, Venezia Pacifica has served as a filming location for numerous productions, including "CSI: Miami," "The Brady Bunch Movie," and Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Last Action Hero." Jay-Z also utilized the estate for his 1998 music video "Money Ain't a Thang."
According to listing agent Chris Cortazzo of Compass, the Malibu luxury housing market remains active, with strong interest in high-end properties. The median sale price in Point Dume has reportedly doubled year-over-year, reaching $14 million in the three months ending May 31.
