Major Supermarkets Recall Frozen Chocolate Berries Due to Metal Contamination
Four varieties of Bomberry's chocolate-coated berries have been pulled from shelves nationally, with consumers urged not to consume them.
Four flavors of Bomberry's chocolate-coated berries have been urgently recalled from Woolworths, IGA, Harris Farm, and Drakes supermarkets across Australia due to the potential presence of metal fragments. The recall was announced by Food Standards Australia New Zealand, which issued an alert concerning the foreign matter that could lead to illness or injury if consumed.
The affected products include Blueberries + Belgian Chocolate in Dark Chocolate and White & Milk Chocolate varieties, as well as Raspberries + Belgian Chocolate in White & Dark Chocolate and White & Milk Chocolate. All products with a best-before date up to and including January 20, 2028, are part of this recall.
Consumers who have purchased these items are advised not to eat them and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone concerned about their health after potential consumption should seek medical advice.
This recall follows a separate incident earlier in October involving Aldi's Farmdale Full Cream Long Life Milk. That product was recalled from Aldi stores and online in Victoria, South Australia, and select New South Wales locations due to microbial contamination, which can cause spoilage and potential illness or injury.
