LGM Hot Chilli Oil Recalled Over Undeclared Peanut Allergen
A popular chilli oil sold at various retailers, including IGA, has been recalled due to a failure to declare peanuts on its label, posing a risk to consumers with allergies.

A batch of LGM (Lao Gan Ma) Hot Chilli Oil 275g has been recalled by Food Safety Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) because peanuts were not listed on the product packaging. The affected batch is PLGM012026, with a best before date of January 23, 2027.
The chilli oil was distributed in Western Australia and sold through Asian supermarkets, independent food retailers such as IGA, and online. FSANZ stated that the recall specifically applies only to the identified batch.
Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance are at risk of a serious reaction if they consume the product. They have been advised to return the chilli oil to the place of purchase for a full refund. Individuals concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
