KKR and SK Group Launch $1.3 Billion Renewable Energy Platform

KKR and SK Group have jointly launched a new renewable energy platform with an initial investment of $1.30 billion. This venture is set to become the largest platform of its kind in South Korea.

The platform will initially encompass approximately 1.7 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity that is currently in operation. It also includes a development pipeline that, upon completion, would expand its total capacity to 10 gigawatts.

The partnership between KKR, a global investment firm, and SK Group, a South Korean conglomerate with significant interests in energy and telecommunications, signals a major push towards expanding renewable energy infrastructure in the region. The initiative aims to accelerate the transition to cleaner energy sources.
