Katie Piper has launched Piper, a new British brand of period lingerie and menstrual wellbeing products, aiming to provide stylish alternatives to traditional period underwear. The 43-year-old TV personality was inspired to create the brand after her daughter Belle began her period at age 11.
Piper's collection features a range of styles, including thongs, Brazilian briefs, bikini briefs, high-waisted briefs, and boxer shorts, available in various colors and fabrics such as lace, mesh, and bamboo. The brand's mission is to challenge the notion that period underwear must compromise on aesthetics.
"I created Piper because I was fed up with compromising my style once a month," Piper stated. "I found myself wearing period underwear I felt I had to wear, rather than styles I actually wanted to wear. Why should confidence, femininity and personal style disappear during our periods?"
The brand spent two years in development and emphasizes that it is not attempting to replicate the success of brands like SKIMS. Instead, Piper aims to become a trusted British brand that redefines expectations for period underwear. Each product includes an absorbent gusset and Piper's FlowGrade™ testing and rating system to guide customers on absorbency levels.
In addition to the lingerie, Piper also launched a free app called Piper Period in September. The app is designed to help users track their menstrual cycles, record symptoms, and gain a better understanding of their menstrual wellbeing.
The Piper period lingerie collection and the Piper Period app are now available on PiperPeriod.com.
