JPMorgan's New Park Avenue Headquarters Estimated to Cost $6 Billion

JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s new headquarters on Park Avenue in New York City is estimated to have cost around $6 billion, according to reports. The bank has not officially disclosed the final construction cost for the skyscraper, which opened last year.

This estimated figure places the building among the most expensive office buildings ever built. The 60-story tower, located at 270 Park Avenue, was designed by Foster + Partners and features a steel exoskeleton.

The previous JPMorgan Chase headquarters at the same site was demolished to make way for the new structure. The demolition project itself was a significant undertaking, completed in 2020. Construction on the new building began shortly after.
