JPMorgan Chase Names Co-Presidents in Succession Planning

JPMorgan Chase has appointed Doug Petno and Troy Rohrbach as co-presidents, a significant move in its long-term succession planning for Chief Executive Jamie Dimon.

Petno, currently CEO of Commercial and Consumer Banking, and Rohrbach, CEO of Consumer & Wealth Management, will now share the co-president title. This organizational change is designed to identify and cultivate potential candidates who could eventually succeed Dimon, who has led the banking giant for over 17 years.

The appointments come as the bank prepares for a leadership transition, although Dimon has not indicated an immediate departure. The co-president structure is often seen as a precursor to naming a single successor or a clear executive leadership team.

Both Petno and Rohrbach are long-serving executives within JPMorgan Chase, with extensive experience across key business segments. Their elevated roles are expected to give them broader oversight and greater visibility within the company as they are evaluated for future leadership positions.
