Jet2 Launches First Business Class-Only Aircraft

Low-cost airline Jet2 has introduced its first aircraft configured exclusively for business class passengers. The retrofitted Boeing 737-800NG, which normally accommodates 189 seats, now features 76 business class seats with a minimum of 43 inches of legroom.

The aircraft, based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, has been designed to meet growing demand from sports teams, music and entertainment groups, and other charter customers seeking enhanced privacy, comfort, and flexibility. Passengers will also receive upgraded, personalized catering.

Jet2 reports exceptional initial feedback, with customers praising the premium feel, comfort, generous personal space, and exclusive onboard environment. Trevor Caplis, head of charter and airline sales at Jet2, stated this development is an "incredibly exciting" addition for charter customers, combining the luxurious cabin with the airline's award-winning service.

The aircraft is available for charter bookings throughout the winter season. This move positions Jet2 to compete with other carriers offering premium-only services, such as French boutique airline La Compagnie, which operates all-business class flights with fully flat beds and elaborate dining options.
