Jet2 Introduces First Business Class-Only Aircraft
The airline's new Boeing 737-800NG features 76 seats, enhanced comfort, and upgraded dining, catering to growing demand from charter clients.

Jet2 has launched its first aircraft configured exclusively for business class, marking a significant shift for the airline often associated with budget travel. The specially designed Boeing 737-800NG, which normally seats 189 passengers, has been refitted to accommodate just 76 business class seats.
This new configuration offers passengers a minimum of 43 inches of legroom, enhanced comfort, and increased personal space. The aircraft, based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, is available for charter bookings throughout the winter season. This initiative responds to a rising demand from sports teams, entertainment groups, and other charter clients seeking greater privacy, comfort, and flexibility.
Passengers on this exclusive aircraft will also benefit from upgraded catering, tailored to their specific requirements. Early feedback has been exceptionally positive, with customers praising the premium feel, comfort, spaciousness, and exclusive onboard environment.
"This is the first time that we have featured a dedicated business class specification on our aircraft, so this is an incredibly exciting development for charter customers," said Trevor Caplis, head of charter and airline sales at Jet2. "This luxurious cabin environment, alongside the award-winning Jet2 customer service, looks set to be a huge hit with charter clients this winter."
Jet2 is not the first airline to introduce business class-only planes. French boutique carrier La Compagnie operates similar flights, offering a 100% business-class cabin where seats convert into fully flat beds. Passengers on La Compagnie's flights receive elaborate dining options and amenities such as hypoallergenic pillows and travel kits.
