Jay-Z, Aaron Judge Among New Investors in Tom Brady's CardVault Venture
The trading card company, co-founded by Brady, has attracted backing from a dozen celebrities and public figures to fuel expansion.
Tom Brady's trading card venture, CardVault by Tom Brady, has secured investments from a group of over a dozen celebrities and public figures, including rapper Jay-Z and New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge.
Representatives for Brady confirmed the investments, stating that the new backers are intended to be active participants, referred to as "builders," who can help scale the business. "When leaders of this caliber choose to bet on CardVault, that’s a powerful signal about where this industry is headed," said CardVault co-founder Ed Kane. "I’m incredibly proud of the group we’ve assembled, and even more excited about what’s next."
Other notable investors include Oilers captain Connor McDavid, Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves, and UFC president Dana White. Brady became involved with CardVault in February 2025, and under his guidance, the company has expanded from three to 17 locations.
CardVault aims to establish a network of over 100 stores in prominent sports and entertainment hubs. The company also plans to extend its reach beyond physical retail through automated vending, e-commerce, strategic partnerships, and new distribution channels. Current CardVault locations are situated in states such as California and New York.
"Collecting today is about much more than owning a card," Brady said in a statement. "It’s about the stories, the memories and the community that brings fans together. CardVault is building a place where every collector from someone opening their first pack to lifelong hobbyists can share that passion. The caliber of this investor group reflects the opportunity we see to grow collecting into an even bigger part of sports culture."
