Female workers are suing billionaire Twiggy Forrest's mining company, Fortescue Metals Group, over claims of rape, sexual assault, and stalking, with allegations that managers attempted to conceal the incidents. A landmark class action lawsuit detailing these claims was filed by law firm JGA Saddler in the Federal Court in Melbourne on Thursday.
According to the lawsuit, female employees were subjected to severe misconduct. In one alleged instance, women were reportedly warned not to wash their underwear in communal laundry facilities due to fears that male colleagues would steal them. The filings aim to address a pattern of alleged harassment and assault within the company.
