EasyJet Partners With Elon Musk's Starlink for In-Flight Wi-Fi

EasyJet has announced a partnership with Elon Musk's Starlink to provide onboard Wi-Fi services for its passengers. The rollout is expected to commence in the first half of next year and be completed by early 2028, according to a statement from the airline.

This agreement comes after a public dispute between Musk and Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary. O'Leary had expressed reservations about installing Starlink antennas on Ryanair's fleet, citing potential fuel drag and increased costs. Musk responded on social media, leading to a public exchange of words between the two executives.

EasyJet, one of Europe's largest airlines, previously carried approximately 100 million passengers in 2025. The airline's CEO, Kenton Jarvis, stated that staying connected is increasingly important for customers, whether for entertainment or business. He highlighted that the partnership with SpaceX, the company behind Starlink, will enhance the passenger experience by offering high-speed internet.

Gwynne Shotwell, president and chief operating officer of SpaceX, commented that Starlink will enable easyJet customers to work, stream, or stay in touch without interruption from take-off to landing. The collaboration aims to transform the way travelers remain connected during their journeys.
