Disneyland Offers Discounted Evening Tickets Amid Summer Crowds
The California theme park is introducing $59 evening tickets, while Walt Disney World has similar deals and future expansions planned.
Disneyland is offering a new discounted ticket option for visitors seeking to experience the theme park during peak summer season. Beginning July 12 and running through August 5, 2026, guests can purchase evening tickets for $59. These tickets allow entry into Disneyland starting at 7 p.m. or into Disney California Adventure starting at 5 p.m., with access until park close. Reservations are required for these tickets, a measure implemented to manage crowd levels.
This promotion provides a more affordable entry point compared to full-day tickets, which can cost up to $184 on a Sunday in July. The evening ticket offer is valid Sunday through Wednesday. Disneyland previously offered similar twilight tickets before the COVID-19 pandemic, but this marks their return.
Walt Disney World in Orlando has already introduced comparable deals. Its 'after 2 p.m. ticket' costs $118 and is available for purchase from May 26 through July 29, 2026. However, unlike Disneyland's single-day evening ticket, the Walt Disney World offer requires a two- or three-day bundle purchase, allowing access to multiple parks.
Walt Disney World is also offering a 'two-day, two-park' ticket for $199 plus tax. This ticket grants one admission to either EPCOT or Animal Kingdom per day, valid over two separate days. This particular offer excludes entry to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
Despite these promotional offers, Walt Disney World is experiencing significant ongoing construction across its parks, with future attractions like Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom, featuring an Encanto ride and a new Indiana Jones attraction, slated for a 2027 opening. Hollywood Studios is also preparing to open Monstropolis, inspired by the film Monsters, Inc., though its opening date remains uncertain.
In contrast, Disneyland recently debuted Tiana's Bayou Adventure and made modifications to Tomorrowland's Autopia. The park is also celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
These discounted offers come as Disney seeks to attract budget-conscious visitors. In parallel, Walt Disney World has quietly released its ticket prices through October 2027, with one-day admission potentially reaching $219 at Magic Kingdom during peak periods like Presidents' Day weekend in 2027. This represents a notable increase from the previous year's peak pricing. The cheapest off-peak tickets remain at $119.
