Demi Moore Negotiates Significant Pay Raise for 'Landman' Season 3
Actress reportedly securing between $740,000 and $770,000 per episode, matching Billy Bob Thornton's reported salary.
Demi Moore has reportedly secured a substantial pay increase for the upcoming third season of the television series "Landman," a show from "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan. The actress is said to be negotiating a salary between $740,000 and $770,000 per episode, according to a report from Deadline.
This reported salary would place Moore on par with co-star Billy Bob Thornton, who leads the series as Tommy, an executive at a Texas oil company. Moore, 63, portrayed Cami, the wife of the company's owner Monty (Jon Hamm) in season one, and she succeeded him in the role after his character's death. Her previous contract was reportedly for two years, allowing for a renegotiation of her salary ahead of the third season.
Thornton, who is said to have a three-year contract, would only be eligible to renegotiate his salary for a potential fourth season, provided the show is renewed.
Cast Salary Adjustments
Several other cast members have also reportedly finalized pay raises. Ali Larter, who plays the ex-wife of Thornton's character, recently concluded negotiations for a salary increase that is reportedly more than double her previous earnings, exceeding $350,000 per episode. Michelle Randolph and Jacob Lofland, who portray the grown children of Thornton and Larter's characters, are also said to have secured wage increases. Each is reportedly earning between $130,000 and $180,000 per episode, which is also said to be more than double their prior compensation.
"Landman" Series Context
"Landman" premiered in 2024 and has become another successful series for Sheridan. The show's cast also includes veteran actors Sam Elliott, who plays TL Norris (Thornton's character's father), and Andy Garcia, portraying financier Danny Morrell, who also heads a drug cartel. Previous guest stars have included Robyn Lively and Michael Pena.
The second season concluded with a power struggle between Moore's character, Cami, and Thornton's character, Tommy, leading to their professional separation. This storyline had raised questions about Moore's potential return for the third season. When asked in January about her involvement, co-creator Christian Wallace offered a non-committal response, stating that he trusted Sheridan's decisions regarding character storylines.
