Children of Celebrities Build Makeup Empires, Following in Parents' Footsteps
From Kylie Jenner to Tyson Fury's daughter, a new generation of 'nepo babies' are leveraging fame to launch lucrative beauty brands.
The cosmetics industry is becoming a lucrative avenue for the children of celebrities, with many establishing successful beauty brands and partnerships. This trend sees a new wave of 'nepo babies' capitalizing on their famous lineage to build substantial fortunes.
Kylie Jenner, often cited as an early success story in this realm, finalized a deal in 2020 to sell a majority stake in her cosmetics company, Kylie Cosmetics, for $600 million. Her venture, launched in 2015 with Lip Kits, quickly became a major industry player, generating over $300 million in revenue in its first year. Jenner's mother, Kris Jenner, recalled Kylie, then 17, approaching her with the vision for a beauty brand.
Hailey Bieber also achieved significant financial success with her skincare brand, Rhode. In May 2025, she reportedly sold the brand to e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion. Bieber plans to invest the proceeds for her son's future, stating her desire to be smart with the substantial sum. She initially launched Rhode in 2022, emphasizing the importance of majority ownership in her own venture.
Harper Beckham, 15-year-old daughter of David and Victoria Beckham, is preparing to launch her own skincare business, reportedly named Harlo. Victoria Beckham has been involved in guiding her daughter's venture, which is expected to include facial washes and creams aimed at younger demographics. The trademark applications for the brand are reportedly finalized, with a launch anticipated next year. Earlier, the Beckhams faced a setback when their chosen U.S. trademark for 'Hiku By Harper' was initially refused due to potential confusion with existing companies. Victoria Beckham revealed that Harper's struggles with acne inspired her desire to create a beauty brand.
Valencia Fury, the eight-year-old daughter of boxer Tyson Fury and his wife Paris, has also entered the beauty market through a collaboration with Superdrug. The collection features beauty and hair accessories. Valencia expressed her enthusiasm for makeup and encouraged followers to visit Superdrug stores to purchase the range.
Princess Andre, daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, is also pursuing ambitions in the cosmetics industry. The 19-year-old influencer has partnered with Superdrug for the second consecutive year and is teasing the launch of her own makeup brand, By Princess. She has previously worked with brands like Morphe and Revolution.
Other notable figures in the beauty space include Lila Moss, who has been a brand ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty US for three years, and Kaia Gerber, who became NARS Cosmetics' newest global ambassador in December. Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp, has maintained a long-standing relationship with Chanel, serving as a muse and global ambassador. Lourdes Leon, Madonna's eldest child, has also ventured into beauty, becoming a face for Make Up For Ever and previously launching her own line, Material Girl Beauty, at age 14.
