Chelsea to Demand High Fee for Pedro Neto Amid Interest from Liverpool and Manchester City

Chelsea is prepared to demand a substantial transfer fee for winger Pedro Neto, as the club is reportedly not surprised by interest from other major clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester City. Sources close to the Premier League club indicated that they are monitoring the increasing valuations of wingers in the current market and will not allow their 26-year-old Portuguese player to depart without a significant offer.

While Chelsea is not actively seeking to sell Neto, insiders are reportedly using the asking prices for players like RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo and Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola as benchmarks. Both Olmo and Barcola are reportedly valued at over £100 million by their respective clubs. Although Neto may not command such an extreme fee, Chelsea's stance suggests they view him as a valuable asset.

New Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca, who previously managed Neto at Chelsea, is said to favor the winger and may be keen on a reunion. Neto is currently not participating in Chelsea's tour of Australia as he is still on downtime following his World Cup commitments with Portugal.

Chelsea's valuation of Neto has not yet been officially stated, but the club believes his attractiveness to other teams is a natural consequence of a limited supply of top-tier wingers available in the transfer market. Teams in Saudi Arabia have also been linked with the player.

In other team news, Chelsea's 19-year-old winger Geovany Quenda is expected to join the squad after the Australian leg of the tour, pending recovery from a minor injury. New striker Emmanuel Emegha is also set to return to training later after sustaining a hamstring issue during a behind-closed-doors friendly. Emegha reportedly scored in both of Chelsea's training matches against Bromley and Crawley, which the club won 3-0 and 3-1, respectively.
