Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) and McKesson Corporation have agreed to acquire Option Care Health in a deal valued at approximately $5.8 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, CD&R will hold a majority interest, owning about 51% of the at-home infusion therapy provider. McKesson will hold the remaining approximately 49% stake.

The transaction brings together a prominent private equity firm and a major healthcare company to gain control of a key player in the growing at-home healthcare sector. Option Care Health provides a range of infusion services, including intravenous therapies for chronic conditions, to patients in their homes.
